Well, leisurevolution has finally entered the blog-age. We now have a digital way for folks involved with the project to stay in touch with each other. Volunteers can find out what other volunteers have experienced while here on the farm; retreat guests can share their thots on the place; potential property for sale buyers can see what others are going thru and how true to my words I am as the ‘developer’… that word has always creeped me out and the longer I am here the more it does so. Panama is exploding with all sorts of high end property developments containing golf courses, expensive spas, condos and such. None of which is my cup of tea and I really feel kinda dirty being somehow part of what is happening to this country. But I hope that with tools like the blogs and the honesty, clarity and detail contained on our website, our version of paradise will stand out in peoples’ minds (and favorites list) as something different, something real - a residential neighbourhood project on a Caribbean island that actually has integrity and spirit behind it’s words. That there will actually be a real, live neighbourhood manifesting over time and not just a subdivision of nature into ‘investment potential opportunities’.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for investment potential, but I’m more about home, neighbourhood, friends and leisure time to enjoy life. That’s what we are doing here on this 102 acres. And any tool I can offer or use in order to distinguish us from all the other residential developments here in Bocas del Toro and Panama in general, I most certainly will utilize.
