Belated welcome!

Will and Sandy,

First of all, I want to apologize for not writing sooner. It seems I have fallen into the Bocas Vortex and time has gotten away from me in ways I could not have imagined.

You sound like great people and I am really looking forward to seeing you in the Fall.  When I was in the states I could not imagine what was keeping those already in Bocas from writing and sharing their experiences.  Well…. now I understand. 

First of all, everything takes a long time to do, to think about to implement here.  Multi- tasking is not a Bocas concept and shopping, eating out, banking - it all just seems to take up a lot of the day.

 The good news is the view while waiting is great for the most part. 

I am pretty well settled into a condo here in town.  I have been ride-sharing with Phillipe and Natalie when I go out to the land. They are fun and fabulous!  You might hear French, Spanish, Maltese or English coming out of their mouth at any given time. 

They are moving right along with their project and making good progress at this point.  I am carefully taking notes. Natalie is a planting fool and will have the place blooming and lovely soon at the rate she is going.  I am also taking notes in this regard and will soon copy her idea of making shallow holes to catch the rain so she can water her newly planted flowers and greenery.

In spite of the fact that we don’t always have running water right now in town - life is sweet.  Days are absolutely beautiful and full. 

On Sunday there will be a party in the lagoon to introduce some of the newcomers - US!  Hopefully, it will be the first of many. 

 Hope all your plans fall easily into place so you can get here soon.
